How We Repipe Multistory on Slab Homes
In a two-story slab home the downstairs fixtures sit on buried slab lines and the upstairs fixtures are fed by risers. We abandon the in-slab pipes and route a new system using the attic above and the cavity between the two floors — the first-floor ceiling.
Abandon the in-slab lines
The old lines under the slab are capped in place — no jackhammering, no broken floors.
Top floor from the attic
Upstairs fixtures are fed by new mains run across the attic and dropped down the second-floor walls.
Downstairs through the first-floor ceiling
This is the key step: the lines feeding the downstairs run through the first-floor ceiling cavity, then drop into the lower walls to each fixture.
Risers in interior walls
Vertical risers connecting the two floors run inside interior walls between the levels.
Access in ceilings & walls — not floors
Most access holes are in the first-floor ceiling and along interior walls, keeping your floors and slab untouched.
Patch & texture every opening
All drywall is patched and texture-matched (we don’t paint).
